The new software update of Apple available for public testing this July, comes with a set of new and innovative applications and features. One of this is the revamped HealthKit feature that will

provide information and status updates regarding the user's general health and now the reproductive health as well.

Apple was criticized before for not being able to consider the needs of their female customers, and as a way to address this issue the new software update allows them to log information on menstrual cycles and specific physical changes such as, basal body temperature, cervical mucus quality and spotting.

Aside from that, people will be able to monitor their sexual activity which includes how often they engage in sex, whether or not they’ve used protection and even ovulation status.

This information will be displayed in a graph or chart depending on the user’s preference. The data will be automatically set private but has the option for users to send it to their physicians or provide statistics to universities and research labs anonymously.

iOS 9 is said to be released by September together with the new iPhone 7.

How Staying Up Late Increases Intelligence

Society may think that night owls or those who stay awake at the later hours of the night
to be unreliable and lazy. Not to mention being unhealthy due to their “unnatural” sleeping habits. And since staying up late equals waking up late, night persons would tend to miss some tasks that require an early start.

Results show that intelligent individuals develop late sleeping patterns as they grow up compared to less intelligent individuals. For example, the average of those with childhood IQs less than 75 (“Very Dull”)  go to bed by 8:41 pm whereas those with a childhood IQ of over 125 (“Very Bright”) go to bed around 12:29 am.

Study Magazine also confirms this theory. According to Satoshi Kanazawa, psychologist at The London of School of Economics and Political Science, early humans were limited by the lack of technology and just adapted their lifestyle to daylight pattern.

Now that there are more means of practicing cognitive processes during the night, owls can already take advantage of operating and accomplishing tasks during this time. And without the distraction of day-to-day errands one can allot more focus in activities they’re doing thus allowing to create superior outputs.

Staying up late also fuels the mind’s creativity by allowing ourselves to think outside of the box. 1. Old Communication Department Building

The Communications Department Building is known to be the most haunted building in the campus. With dark and narrow corridors the building leaves an eerie atmosphere particularly in the second floor of the building. Some have reported to having seen a mother and child figure roaming the halls. Describing them of having a white glow. Another is a deceased Jesuit priest whose spirit walks around the second floor triggering the motion-detector cameras but not appearing in the footages.

A popular story also says that a just as a janitor was about to lock up the building, a security guard begged him if he could use the second floor bathroom. When the guard left the bathroom, the janitor found it to be covered with feces! The janitor confronted about the mess but the guard was seemed totally clueless, however when he turned his back the janitor saw a handprint covered with feces at the guard’s back.

2. PIPAC





A former janitor was rumored of getting trapped inside the building when he was done cleaning up. Since the building’s exits were sealed shut as to preserve all the chemicals being stored there. They say that the janitor died of suffocation. His spirit would be seen roaming around the building trying to look for ways out.

3. Cervini and Eliazo Dormitories

The instances of ghosts sightings here usually happen in the dormitory’s bathrooms. One dormer reported that while she was showering alone one night, she heard the shower of the cubicle next to her turned on. She asked who was there but no one answered, when she checked the cubicle was completely empty. Another dormer reported that when she was brushing her teeth she saw another girl behind her through the mirror’s reflection but when she turned around no one was there.

Summer is almost over which can only mean one thing, it’s back to school once again! Now for those of you who are just about to experience college life for the first time, it’s good to know a little more about your soon-to-be alma mater. And what more exciting way than to learn about the spooky stories that surround some of these prestigious universities, right? Lucky for you I’ve got it all here. So, let’s begin shall we?

De La Salle University (DLSU)

1. St. Lasalle Hall

St. Lasalle Hall is the oldest building in the university so it comes to no surprise that it has the most paranormal sightings in the campus. The most popular one is located in the Chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament. During World War II the chapel was used as a refuge by many La Sallian Brothers and civilian families, almost all of whom were massacred by Japanese soldiers.

Testaments say that, sometimes at night you’ll hear frantic footsteps coming from the empty chapel then suddenly fall silent. Others reported seeing a man in a in a soldier’s uniform covered with blood with a bayonet through his chest, asking for help.

A more recent ghost story occurred during one of the last lectures of the day in L301. The economics professor was known to do board activities for his students. A girl, who no one knew, raised her hand to participate but when she went towards the blackboard to write something, she vanished. Everyone was shocked and scared so the professor ended the class early. From then on, he only referred to the class list to call on students to participate.







2. Enrique Razon Sports Center

A female volleyball varsity player ended being the last person in the showers after practice. Suddenly, the lights were switched off. Thinking the maintenance personnel didn’t know someone was still there, she quickly dressed up and followed the glowing EXIT sign towards the elevators.

When she got to the elevator, she noticed that it kept on stopping at every floor but no one was there. This kept on going from the 8th floor to the 3rd. When the elevator opened stopped in the 2nd floor, still with no one there, she was surprised when the elevator alarms went off indicating that the elevator was already full.

3. Saint Joseph Hall

Having existed for almost 57 years, Saint Jospeh Hall also share a lot of chilling paranormal experiences. The building houses the university’s various laboratories, anmal organs, and cat cadavers. When a strong fire started, firemen tried to their best to rescue everything that they could, however being that the fire in the top floor grew the most intense firemen couldn’t expel it right away. The strange thing was, onlookers below have reported seeing a student wearing a laboratory gown at the top floor engulfed with flames but still wearing a calm smile. No trace of the body was found after.

Sometimes at night, you can still smell a strong burning odor while hearing slow-paced footsteps in the corridors.

Meet Akamara. She is a two-year-old rescue American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT).

Her owner got her at six months old. She was a victim of neglect and was in desperate need of love and affection. Her immune system was extremely deficient due to mange and allergies, and she also struggled with  secondary ear infections.

When the owners’ baby, Siegmund, was born they couldn’t help but have reservations towards having Akamara near the baby.

“We NEVER leave Siegmund alone with Akamara - after all, she’s dangerous to him.”

But to their surprise Akamara was friendly and gentle towards the baby - often snuggling with Siegmund. Since the baby is still very tiny, the owners only allow Akamara to put her head near him (to Akamara’s slight disappointment), and only with eyes on her at all times. They say Akamara can’t help but cuddle with the baby. It’s in her instinct, they say.

This trait is not unique to Akamara. The United Kennel Club (UKC), which recognizes and classifies APBTs, say that they are nanny dogs - described to make excellent family companions and have always been noted for their love of children. The American Temperment Test Society rates their affectionate trait to be higher than common family breeds such as Golden Retrievers.

But even so, their bad reputation still prevails. This may have to do with how dogfight trainers favour Pit Bulls to be their fighters. This is not due to their temperment, but rather their bite power even with their smaller built. Training Pit Bulls, or any territorial dog at a young age to bring out their aggression and defensiveness will turn them to attacking machines. It is considered illegal, but there are still some who exercise this. And dogs who are rescued from these extreme conditions usually suffer from PTSD and mental trauma which more likely increases the chance of attack, especially inexperienced owners.

Rizal high school was once awarded as the largest high school in terms of population based on the Guinness Book of World Records since 1993 until 2005 when City Montessori School in India got the slot.

There  were a lot of haunting stories that rumored throughout the campus. Probably you yourself once heard these kind of stories. A woman was said to be believed as a ghost walks thru the campus during night time Some students even have picture of this woman at their background while having picture-takes inside their classrooms or inside the comfort rooms.





The said ghost seem harmless it's just that she just want to be included in the picture. (Probably she wants it to be uploaded on her Facebook)  nevertheless  there are a lot of haunting tales thing that some students experience because the school has been in existence since 1902. So if you're inside the campus be careful in taking pictures or selfies because one day you will probably see that there's an additional lady on your background.

Truth on Robinson’s “Snake Man” Revealed

There are already loads of speculations surrounding the alleged snake man that frequents Robinson’s Galleria Mall. The urban legend that peaked around the 90’s once again made an outburst on social recently.

There have been various articles and mini documentaries which feature the said creature including an unverified video that shows an image of the snake man. Currently the video has already 1.5 million views.

Several versions of this has already sprouted the most popular one being that a snake in a humanoid form has access to the mall’s CCTV cameras which enables him to spy on women particularly in the ladies’ fitting rooms. After he chooses his unsuspecting victim, he then enables the floor trap which drops the victim through a hole leading to his underground chamber. Rumors circulated that the snake man rapes his victims and eats them alive.





Other stories about this would go as far as saying the snake was a female that laid golden eggs which is   the source of the wealth of the Gokongwei family. Another also says that the alleged snake man is Robinson, son of John Gokongwei Jr. and twin brother of Robina Gokongwei and the snake-like description were only an exaggeration of his abnormal condition.

On the other hand, there are some who strongly believe that the rumors about this aren’t real and that this is just a product of tight competition among rival malls. For now, without any concrete proof that the snake man is actually real, then it must remain nothing but an urban legend.

And also the story was blown out of proportion that it has somewhat affected the SIOPAO business of some popular SIOPAO stands. The story says that if the SIOPAO tastes really good, it is surely made of cat meat.





This urban legend about siopao started when Philippines experience lacked meat but had a lot of supply of cats during the World War II. Since then the cat meat joke spreads like wildfire all over the Philippines whenever someone asked what is the main ingredient of Siopao.

PBCOM Tower Rumored Elevator Ghost

A certain member from a popular forum site pinoyexhange was able to post her experience inside the elevator of PBCOM Tower in Makati. There's a lot more post similar to this that has been happening so it is somewhat alarming. But if you have faith in God, you wouldn't mind this kind of stories.

I don't really believe in ghosts but let me share this very weird experience of mine. 

I was at the office at PBCom tower in Makati. It was early Saturday morning, so wala masyado tao. I went down the ground floor to have my breakfast and upon entering the elevator, i accidentally pressed the button for the 9th floor. 

So I just shrugged it off and pressed the button for the ground floor. Ako lang mag isa sa elevator.

Nung dumaan na sa 9th floor, bumukas yung pinto ng elevator kasi nga napindot ko yung 9. Walang katao tao. So, nagsara na uli yung elevator door.

Nung magsasara na yung elevator door, biglang bumukas uli. Nagulat ako i thought may papasok na tao kasi di naman bumubukas yung elevator door pag walang taong papasok. 

To my surprise, walang pumasok na tao sa elevator at nagsara na uli yung elevator door. Di talaga ako naniniwala sa multo but yun yung time na yun na parang kinilabutan ako, i wanted to press the button for the 8th floor and run out of the elevator right away. Pero pinigilan ko ang sarili ko and i forced myself to believe na matapang ako. 

Luckily, I survived staying in the elevator until i reached the ground floor and luckily wala namang nangyari. whew!

Dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to cells in our bodies. Don’t freeze plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently the Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating food in the microwave using plastic containers..... This especially applies to foods that contain fat.

Paper isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s safer to use tempered glass, such as Pyrex, etc. 

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the styrene foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons....
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Cling film, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

According to the story, the snakeman has all the access to the Robinsons CCTV's, and would easily spy on women in some of it's dressing rooms. If the snakman likes the woman, he would flip a switch and the woman would automatically drop through a hole in the floor falling straight into his arms.

Popular actress Alice Dixson was also rumored to be among the snakeman's victims, and she was allegedly paid a huge amount just to keep her silence.

Woman Spends 14 Years Photographing World’s Oldest Trees

Strange Trumpet Sounds Heard Over Australia, Canada, US, Other Countries: From God, Aliens, Or Just Our Planet? [Videos]

This is a bit scary as it's becoming more factual that this sounding trumpet noise is now being heard from different parts of the world coming from an unknown location in the sky.

 There a lot of  uploaded clips now on youtube and facebook , it came from users from Australia, Canada, Germany and the United States.

In Canada, Kimberly Wookey was able to record clips of these type of mysterious sounds. She uploaded it on Youtube.com.

"This is the second time I personally have heard these sounds here in Terrace BC Canada," Wookey wrote on her Youtube account. "First time was June 19th 2013 at approx. 9-9:30am but it was not quite as intense."

According to reports, scientists at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) believe the noise could potentially be the "background noise" of the Earth.

"If humans had radio antennas instead of ears, we would hear a remarkable symphony of strange noises coming from our own planet," a spokesperson from NASA explained.

NASA said that the sound is like the background music that can be heard in some classic science fiction films. Experts explained that the noise coming from the Earth is not a science fiction.

 NASA said that these natural radio emissions from the planet are very real and the noises occur around people all the time, we just didn't noticed it all the time.

To help people prepare for this eventuality, PHIVOLCS released on Tuesday the Valley Fault System Atlas, a collection of detailed large-scale maps that illustrates the areas that are traversed by the VFS.

The culmination of over two years of extensive field work involving dozens of experts, the Atlas is an everyman's guide to the dangers of the VFS.

According to Dr. Renato Solidum, Jr., director of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

A handy reference “The Valley Fault System Atlas was conceptualized as a handy reference for everyone to serve as a guide in making sure that areas traversed by active faults are avoided as sites of houses and structures and considered in various mitigation and response actions to enhance the safety and resilience of communities to strong earthquake events,” said Solidum.

“A disaster can only be a disaster if we are not prepared for it,” said National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Undersecretary Alexander Pama, stressing that the Atlas will play a critical role in earthquake-preparedness plans.

The Atlas is a tool that can be accessed and used by anybody. Land developers or even private homeowners can use the Atlas to see if their projects or homes are near danger zones. “I urge you all to adopt a proactive stance when dealing with disasters,” Pama added.

“UNDP advocates an integrated and systematic risk management approach to prevent or lessen the impacts of disasters,” said Titon Mitra, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Philippines Country Director. “VFS Atlas is a critical tool to support development planning and programming. If development is not risk informed, it is not sustainable

Millions Of Baby Spiders Rain Down From The Sky In Australia

It’s like a nightmare for those with arachnophobia, when you find yourself waking up on your garden, car and home are now all covered in a dense layer of cobwebs with millions of baby spiders.

It's a reality for those living in the town of Goulburn in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, “millions of baby spiders” have been spotted “raining from the sky.”

Sticky with aggregate (spider glue), these parachutes can knit together en masse, forming thick layers in transit or when they settle.

"They can literally travel for kilometers, which is why every continent has spiders. Even in Antarctica, they regularly turn up but just die," explained Australian Museum's naturalist Martyn Robinson to the Sydney Morning Herald. "That's also why the first land animals to arrive on new islands formed by volcanic activity are usually spiders. You can have entire fields and paddocks and trees festooned with this gossamer or Angel Hair, as some people call it.”

One resident wrote in that she had seen clouds of silk “floating through the sky” for at least 30 minutes, while another wrote that she had seen such clouds settle in clumps in her garden and on her clothes-line. Far from being distressed about this new kingdom of spiders, it seems as though these Goulburn residents are living somewhat peacefully with these tiny arachnids.

Doctors Warn of Dangers of Ear Buds

Josh Musto’s hearing loss began early in his life , it was triggered first by a heavy metal concert and it becomes worst by years of playing guitar in 2 bands. Listening to a loud music constantly using an ear buds may be to blame for a ringing in his ears.

"I've been a musician forever," said Musto, now 21 and a junior at the New School in New York City. "There's a lot of noise in my life.”

Josh Musto is not alone as Doctors warned music lovers  that a steady onslaught of a loud noise, particularly using an ear buds, is damaging the hearing of this generation which is wired for sound although we may not realize it for years.

Even the World Health Organization already warned that 1.1 billion young people are at risk of hearing loss because of personal audio devices usage, such as some smartphones, and damaging levels of sound at entertainment venues like some electronic dance music festivals, where the noise levels can top 120 decibels for hours.

"Probably the largest cause [of hearing damage] is millennials using iPods and [smartphones]," says Dr. Sreekant Cherukuri, an ear, nose, and throat specialist from Munster, Indiana.

Hearing loss among today's teens is about 30 % higher than in the year 1980s and 1990s, Dr. Cherukuri estimates.

"You (once) had a Walkman with two AA batteries and headphone thongs that went over your ears," he told NBC News. "At high volume, the sound was so distorted and the battery life was poor. Nowadays, we have smart phones that are extremely complex computers with high-level fidelity."

Dr Cherukuri tells young patients to stop wearing headphones especially the earbuds, which place the sound closer to the ear drum, enhancing volume by as much as 9 decibels.

"It's very easy to achieve unknowingly," he said.


Repeated exposure to sound over 85 decibels can cause major hearing loss. The Permanent damage can only happen in minutes, experts say, and when the damage is done, it's irreversible. This is According to the National Institutes of Health

"Noise exposure in kids is a growing concern," said Nicole Raia, a clinical audiologist at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.

Raia said she sees more tinnitus in young people, an early sign of hearing loss, but, "we don't catch them until they are in their 20s and 30s."

And because audio-screening protocols are not that sophisticated, many children with subtle damage pass hearing tests, she added.
