And also the story was blown out of proportion that it has somewhat affected the SIOPAO business of some popular SIOPAO stands. The story says that if the SIOPAO tastes really good, it is surely made of cat meat.
This urban legend about siopao started when Philippines experience lacked meat but had a lot of supply of cats during the World War II. Since then the cat meat joke spreads like wildfire all over the Philippines whenever someone asked what is the main ingredient of Siopao.
