When Silk Meets The Egg

Biyernes, Mayo 8, 2015

Easter Sunday is over but you’re still hung up with the fact that you didn’t find one single Easter egg in the ever famous Egg Hunt. Don’t fret as you’re not alone. Nowadays, it seems that this tradition is lost. What with the busy life we lead, no one wants to take the time to paint and decorated eggs for the feast. We tend to forget that there are many objects scattered around your house waiting for you to pick them up and make something wonderful out of it.

And here is one way how:

You’ll need:
Eggs
100% silk scarves
Half yard white fabric
Twist ties
White vinegar

Procedure:
Cut the silk scarves and white fabric into 7x7 squares
After cutting, wrap the eggs with silk on the inside and white fabric on the outside. Fasten it       using the twist tie.

In anon-reactive metal or glass pot, boil the eggs with water and three tablespoons of white vinegar

After 15 minutes, remove the eggs and unwrap
Take a selfie with your decorative eggs before hiding them for a fun and thrilling Egg Hunt

Making things appealing is easy. It doesn’t necessarily involve expensive supplies as many objects can be used and reused over and over again.  The only limit is your imagination. So relieve that Eastertide tradition and make your kids, siblings, friends and neighbours join the Egg Hunt you’ve always enjoyed ever since your childhood days.
